Terms of use

Useful help, with honest limits

These terms set simple boundaries for using AssistedFreelance. They are written to be read, not decoded.

Effective and last updated September 15, 2026

Lucy provides general information and drafting help. She does not provide legal, tax, accounting, or financial advice, and using the site does not create a professional-client relationship.

Using the service

You may use AssistedFreelance to understand and draft material connected with a genuine freelance engagement. Use it lawfully and only submit text you are allowed to process.

Do not use the service to deceive, harass, threaten, impersonate someone, expose another person’s private information, bypass security, overload the service, or automate abusive requests. Usage limits may be applied to keep the service available.

Lucy’s limits

AI can misunderstand context, miss a clause, make a calculation error, or produce wording that does not fit your jurisdiction or situation. Treat the response as a working explanation, not a verified conclusion.

You are responsible for checking source documents, dates, figures, and the final wording you use. Get qualified local advice where money, ownership, deadlines, regulatory duties, or formal proceedings make the stakes high.

Your material

You keep whatever rights you already have in text you submit. You give the service permission to process that text only as needed to return the requested response and operate the service.

Version 1 does not save pasted documents or chat history in the application database. Read the privacy notice for the data flow and the role of infrastructure providers.

Service content

The AssistedFreelance name, site design, original guides, and other site material remain the property of their respective owners. You may use Lucy’s generated response for your own work, but you remain responsible for reviewing it and for respecting rights in any source material.

Names and trademarks of freelance platforms belong to their owners. Platform guides are independent educational material and do not imply an affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement.

Availability and changes

The service is provided as available. Features may change, pause, or stop, and a response is not guaranteed to be complete, accurate, or suitable for a particular purpose. Where the law does not allow a limitation, that limitation does not apply.

These terms may be updated as the service develops. Material changes should be described clearly. Continuing to use the service after updated terms are published means the new terms apply from that point forward, where allowed.
