How it works

From pasted text to a clearer next step

Choose the stage, share only the wording Lucy needs, and receive a streamed plain-English response. You stay in charge of the decision.

Version 1 stores no pasted documents. Pasted text is processed in memory for that request, and no account is required.

A project excerpt moving through review notes toward a clear next step

1. Choose the stage

Start with scoping, contracts, scope changes, invoicing, or disputes. Each tool gives Lucy instructions suited to that part of the engagement.

Choose freelancer or client. That changes which responsibilities and next steps Lucy puts first; it does not change the underlying analysis.

2. Paste what matters

Share the clause, brief, invoice details, message, or timeline you want help with. More text is not always better. Remove names, signatures, bank details, credentials, and unrelated confidential information.

Text only is supported in v1. File uploads may come later, but the site does not currently ask you to upload a PDF or create a document library.

3. One request, in memory

Your browser sends the pasted text to the AssistedFreelance API. The API validates it, holds it in memory while that request runs, and sends the necessary text to the configured AI provider to create Lucy’s response.

The application does not write pasted documents or chats to its Postgres database. AI requests are configured with provider storage disabled. Ordinary hosting and security services may still process request metadata such as an IP address and timing.

4. Read the reasoning

Lucy streams the answer as it is produced. She separates supplied facts from assumptions, explains flags, and suggests questions or wording where that is useful. She does not declare a legal winner or guarantee accuracy.

Check important details against the source document. Where local law, taxes, formal deadlines, or high stakes matter, a qualified professional may be the sensible next step.

No account trail

No account is required in v1, so there is no saved review history to come back to. Keep your own copy of anything useful before closing or refreshing the page.
