Your work is not our document library

This notice explains what AssistedFreelance handles when you use Lucy, what is not saved, and where other service providers are involved.

Effective and last updated September 15, 2026

Version 1 stores no pasted documents. Pasted text is processed in memory for that request, and no account is required.

What you send

The tools process text you choose to paste. Chat processes the messages in the current conversation. Please leave out personal data, credentials, payment details, trade secrets, and unrelated confidential material when Lucy does not need them.

You do not need an account, profile, or saved workspace to use version 1. We do not use pasted documents to build a user history in our database.

How a request is handled

Pasted text and chat messages are held in application memory while the request is validated and answered. They are sent to the configured AI provider so it can generate Lucy’s response, then the response is streamed back to your browser.

The AI calls are configured with provider storage disabled. That setting is not the same as a promise that no infrastructure provider ever handles data in transit or keeps limited security records under its own policies.

What is stored

AssistedFreelance’s Postgres database stores generated blog drafts, editorial review status, published posts, and the state needed to rotate blog topics. It is not used to store pasted tools, contracts, invoices, or chat conversations.

Hosting, firewall, and network services may process technical metadata such as IP address, request route, date, timing, browser details, and error information. This supports delivery, security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting. We do not intentionally write pasted document text to application logs.

To enforce the shared five-request-per-10-minute AI usage limit, the application converts the client address supplied by Vercel into a one-way keyed hash. Postgres stores that hash, the fixed-window start, a request count, and an update time—not the plain address or request contents. Expired rate-limit windows are removed after 24 hours.

Your choices

Share the smallest useful excerpt. Replace names with roles, remove account numbers, and keep your original document somewhere you control. If you do not want text processed by the AI provider, do not paste it into the tool.

Because v1 has no accounts or stored document history, there is no account archive for us to retrieve or delete. For a privacy question about the service, use the contact page.

Changes to this notice

If document storage, accounts, analytics, or other material data practices are introduced, this notice should be updated before those features are used. Important changes should be explained plainly, not hidden in vague wording.
